It is indeed promising for the development and growth of Islamic financial planning that the Shariah RFP has attracted not only Muslims but non-Muslim as well. This certainly bodes very well for the creation of a pool of Islamic finance experts and practitioners with the right combination of knowledge and understanding of Shariah principles, and qualifications in Islamic financial planning. In addition, MFPC’s establishment of the Shariah RFP scholarship fund provides a further impetus to this development. The MFPC’s initiatives reflect Malaysia's continuous effort and commitment towards the development of a progressive Islamic financial industry. These efforts will certainly help reinforce the nation’s efforts to position Malaysia as an international Islamic financial centre.”
